SUMMARY:On the Road Tour - Hidden Ridgefield: From the Ground Up
DESCRIPTION:Join the WSU Extension Master Gardeners of Clark County for an On The Road Tour and leave the driving to us.  We’ll visit unique gardening locales in our own backyard: Ridgefield! First\, we visit Shovel and Thumb\, award-winning landscape professionals who seek to help you get your soil and planting just right. Not only do they excel in hardscape installations that create a perfect infrastructure to complement your flora; but they also offer foundational products such as soil amendments\, irrigation systems\, and quality plants. \n \nNext\, we head north to visit Millenium Farms. With over 30 years of growing experience\, Millenium takes an educational and regenerative approach\, teaching about plant variety selection and best methods for a healthy crop that promises to elicit the nostalgia of your family’s garden. They offer a large selection of locally grown heirloom vegetables\, herbs\, and fruit.\n \nOur final stop is All Seasons Plants. This nursery provides customers with rare\, hard-to-find and native plants as well as inspiration and education. The team at All Seasons cares deeply about the environment and the conservation of rare and endangered plants and can help you make the best selections for above-ground benefits and beauty from their diverse offerings.\n \nLunch: Downtown Ridgefield: Seating at Ridgefield Craft Brewing with ordering options at the Nest and El Rancho Viejo or walk a block to the Carts by the Park and bring food back to the taphouse. Thursday\, May 14. Meet at 8:30am in Hazel Dell (exact location upon registration). Van arrival back at Heritage Farm about 4pm. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Cost: $35 (plus tax\, fees). Register here.
